A rough guide for formula feeding, worked out in your browser. Not medical advice.
What the numbers mean
The estimate uses a common formula-feeding guide of roughly 150 to 200 ml of milk per kilogram of body weight per day, then divides it by the number of feeds. It is a ballpark, not a prescription.
Follow the baby, not the number
Appetites move around with growth spurts and off days. A baby having plenty of wet nappies and gaining steadily is usually feeding well, whatever the exact millilitres. If you are worried about intake or weight, speak to your health visitor or GP.
