It is the stretch of parenting twins that people warn you about and you still are not ready for. Two babies waking at different times, two feeds, two settles, and both of you awake for all of it, night after night, until the days start to blur.

You cannot make two newborns sleep through on demand. What you can do is stop the night from taking both of you down at once.

Give each parent one real block

The single biggest change is shift work. One parent covers both twins for the first half of the night while the other sleeps properly, out of earshot of every stir, then you swap. One protected stretch each beats two people half-awake all night, because unbroken sleep is what actually restores you.

Make each waking one job

Feed both twins together where you can, so a night waking is a single task rather than two. Prep everything within reach before bed. And agree the split in daylight, honestly, so the load feels shared and neither of you quietly runs out of road.
