It is the middle of the night. One twin is crying, you lift them, and halfway through the feed a small panic sets in: did you already do this one? Was that the other baby, an hour ago, or was that yesterday? With two newborns the feeds blur together within days.

The problem is not your memory. It is that you are being asked to hold two feeding schedules in your head while sleep deprived, and no one can do that reliably.

Write it down the second it happens

The fix is boring and it works: log each feed the moment it ends, with the baby, the time and the side or amount. You are not trying to remember any more, you are reading it off a list.

Make the log shared

With two parents on rotating shifts, the log only helps if you can both see it. One shared record means whoever is up next knows what already happened, nobody double feeds a twin, and nobody wakes the other parent just to ask who is due.
